Can Obama paint the White house into the Black house?

Im not a racist, but being a guy when moving into a new house I would be more concerned with where i would put my TV, sofa and my Hifi or Computer,

rather then thinking what colour curtains would match my rug.

But sometimes I too have an aesthetic eye.

So instead of the White house being White, and if i was a black guy would Obama be allowed to paint the White house into a black colour?

Because im thinking the only reason its white is to show some kind of racial superiority or something is that right?

PS: AND No I'm not racist, or a KKK or shave my head and have swastikas printed on my arm, or do Heil Hitler or what ever.

I get on with everyone, and try to learn always from other peoples culture. I am currently trying to learn about Islam.

So would he be allowed to paint the white house or even his own room should he want to?Can Obama paint the White house into the Black house?
No. Ordinarily I would call you a liar but, as you are obviously from the UK I'll forgive you this time. (I can tell by the way you spell color.) Unless your trying to be offensive please don't do it again. Can Obama paint the White house into the Black house?
If you bother repeating several times that you are not a racist, chances are, you ARE a racist...but you're just trying to convince yourself otherwise.

Why does the White House have to be black if a black family is living in it? I know plenty of black people who live in white houses. White is an aesthetically pleasing color for architecture. It has nothing to do with a person's skin color, moron.
He does not ';own'; the house and is only a temporary resident of 4 ot 8 years so the answer is no to painting it black. Interior decorators were hired to decorate the private residence area according to (most likely) the first Lady Michelle's tastes. Few people find black paint on walls attractive.
uhm, i thinkk so.

im pretty sure he could paint a room whatever color he wanted to, and prob. even the entire thing. considering that bush made the thing where he could pass whatever he wanted without regard to congress, so doing something as little as repainting the white house shouldnt be abig deal.

not that he's going to.

^i think this was your questionnn...?
Absolutely, Obama is free to have the White House painted any color of his choosing.

Personally I don't like the fella, but he did manage to get the masses to vote him in.
He was not elected to redecorate the White House. Your concerns indicate your maturity level. I really don't think painting it the White House white was to show racial superiority.
Well shouldn't he paint it dark brown because the color of the people is actually dark brown not Black. He aught to just make a presidential palace or presidential mansion and get away from the whole color thing all together.
If your not racist then why are you assuming that because he's (half) black that he is going to paint it black? Why can't he paint it neon green? A neon green white house would be awesome!
Maybe, but why would he? We just went through 8 years of empty symbolism. Some action would be a nice change.
Only half of it
i say no way
Blah blah blah... Does is matter what the colour of someone's skin is, does it matter?

YES IT DOES!

Because if any of you aren't blind, you'll see that his skin colour is NOT BLACK, IT'S BROWN and don't even try to reply if you can't give another answer than - that's how it is, or there are fully-'black' people with skin colour as light as Obama's, because then they are not black are they!? They come from an ';Afro-'; heritage, whether it be Carribean, African or American, and re a part of the ';Afro-'; community, but they are NOT BLACK. USE YOUR EYES PEOPLE!

**NEWSFLASH**

**OBAMA's SKIN COLOUR IS NOT BLACK!!! IT'S BROWN dammit!**

Does it seriously make any sense to you? Do i call a Yellow jumper Red because it's a superposition of some sort of red and green light? NO! It makes no sense! The green contributes just as much, otherwise it wouldn't appear yellow, but would actually appear red!

The reason why black people are named such is because of the racist implications of the one-drop rule, suggesting that if you have any recent trace of so called 'black' blood in you, you're black. This was implemented by white supremacists a century or so ago to seperate themselves from any links to do with black people. Does this not signify a form of contamination, where the whiteness is overuled or 'contaminated by the black 'drop'? Whereas skin colour is a spectrum or continuum of colour tones.

ARE BLACK PEOPLE A FORM OF CONTAMINATION TO WHITE PEOPLE?

NO!

So why do people continuously label Mixed Race people or even ';light skinned black';/brown people as Black? The afro- community would still continue to exist, but why not just describe people for how they look like?

Think about it... If Obama went to Ghana or somewhere in africa where people have primarily Dark-Brown to Black skin colour, would he look so 'black' then? What if people were to say he was white because he had more than 'one drop' of white-blood in him, hence contaminating the black...

Just THINK use your brains, and also have some respect for people who are of multiple heritage being able to have/choose their own identity. I am Brown, golden, yellow, whatever... i'm not black just as i'm not white, as much as i value my black heritage and family, my skin colour is not black!

If you're white English, imagine if people started calling you German or Latino or 'that irish guy' or chinese guy or something... it would irritate you not because there's anything wrong with it, but because that's not who you are or look like.

SO IF HE WOULD PAINT THE ';WHITE HOUSE'; HE WOULD CHANGE IT INTO THE BROWN HOUSE
