Does anyone know what breed a 22lb. black house cat is?

I just recently got a cat from the shelter and his size was amazing...he weighs about 22 lbs. but he is a healthy cat...he is not over weight and every feature on him is very large. He's all black with a little white locket of fur on his neck. I'd love to know what kind of breed he is. People are always amazed at his size also and I feel kind of silly when they ask what breed he and and I have no clueDoes anyone know what breed a 22lb. black house cat is?
The only cats that should weight that much is a Ragdoll, as well as Norwegian Forest cat.

He might be a Maine Coon, they are pretty big cats. We have one that also came from a shelter. The vets say he weighs a lot, 20 lbs. but it's not too much for his size. He's really long, and muscular. He's bigger than most of the dogs on our street. But he doesn't go out side, he watches them from the window.
He's probably just a very large Domestic short/med/longhair. Most cats that you get at the shelter (like most dogs) aren't purebred. Norwegian Forrest cats can get pretty hefty. Maybe he has some of that in there.
He is most likely a domestic shorthair - mixed breed - size extra large.

I have a domestic shorthair tabby from a shelter that's in the same weight class.
97% of the cats on this PLANET are of no particular breed so odds are he isn't ANY breed.
sounds like a maine coon cat males range from 20-25lbs and females range from 18-20lbs.
Probaly a mix.

Hope this helps!
